Dance Your Way to fitness

A ‘one of  a  kind’ Bollywood Workshop

for kids, teens and adults!

Bollywood, Indo Jazz, Contemporary, Bhangra, Hip Hop, Rock n Roll, and Salsa! We have a plethora of dance styles for both kids and adults.  Age, height, shape – no bar.

Apart from combining contemporary Indian styles with Western techniques, our Indo-Jazz dance movement also emphasizes personal growth, de-stress, fitness and fun for all.

This program is designed to work on different body parts with the ultimate goal to gradually build strength and flexibility according to your body rhythm.

The workshop will begin with a short workout focusing on stretch and tone; let us call it “Dancercise” followed by fun filled sessions dedicated to dancing on a particular routine with a well deserved break in between!

About the Instructor.

Deepali Jamwal (fondly known as DJ), is a believer of “Life is a dance, from one stage to the next”. She has been dancing since she barely knew how to walk. ‘Dance is her passion and she worships it’. Born and brought up all over India, in varying cultures, different societies and different arts, she has engrained flavors of all those experiences into her dancing. Over the last 16 years, she has gained proficiency in Indian Contemporary, Indo Jazz, Hip Hop, Salsa, Jive, Rock and Roll, and Bollywood. Bollywood is in her blood. After earning many accolades, winning numerous choreography and dance competitions while performing all over India, she is now all set to shake, sway and spread the joy in Ottawa.

“We dance for laughter, we dance for tears,

we dance for madness, we dance for fears,

we dance for hopes, we dance for screams,

we dance, dance & dance to create dreams”

What to Wear.
Apart from a HUGE smile, tracks, sweat pants, tights, shorts, anything you’re comfortable in. Your dancewear should allow you to move with ease; so stretchable clothing is always advisable. For footwear –  barefoot or sport jazz shoes should be just fine.

A mat or a large bath size towel for floor work, a face towel to freshen up, a bottle of water and a deodorant.
